 Here we go again
Well halfway through the first half, UTA is playing like this is a scrimmage. And it doesnt help the SLC now announcer is horrible at pronouncing names and calling the action...."And boom goes the dynamite"

7:42 to play in the first half and its 29-9 SFA. It looks like another one-and-done for our boys in blue.

33-20 at halftime SFA. Started to make a run toward the end of the first half. But Tims from SFA is killing us every time he shoots.
Still don't like our chances here.

 Re: Here we go again
They wonder why no one comes to the games....this is just embarrassing, maybe Scott should cut a couple players before next year to send a message...not sure if you can do that in the NCAA...

 Re: Here we go again
Yeah you can not retain players..they are all scholarship and if the coach deems the player is not playing to the level at which they expect when they recruited...they can cut anybody. Remember Kinnear? He was cut after last year.
I have a hard time believing next year's team will be in any shape to content for a playoff spot after losing Moffitt, Long, Gentry and of course Haynes.
I mean next year's roster is Parker, Reeves, Catlett, Reed II and Williams. The only good player they signed, Darius Richardson, might be good enough to win freshman of the year.
Oh and we're now down by 30.
Another season like this, I really think Coach Cross needs to be re-evaluated. Yeah he took a team to a 20-win, NCAA Tourney bid season. But what has he done afterward. A couple of mediocre seasons and is only two games above .500 in SLC play.

i think he needs to have a few years in the arena before we should consider changing coaches ...

 Re: Here we go again
I didn't say change coaches yet...just a re-evaluate where this program has gone (if after another disappointing season) after a its 2008 NCAA Tourney team.

 Re: Here we go again
This season ended up about how I thought it would be. We lost some big pieces from last year and had to switch to a different style of play. I think two seasons from now we will be back where we are supposed to be. Until then it is going to be some rough times.

 Re: Here we go again
I like that Hooch recommends "re-evaluating." Traditionally, UTA has been over-patient with mediocre results. It would be a nice change if everybody expected excellence and had very little tolerance of losing. Of course, this program's disadvantages have been legendary and legion, so we should cut some slack for maybe two more years, right? Oh, and about Kinnear being "cut," I think he did that to himself in the classroom.
